TOMMY

Tommy Milner is an American race car driver who has competed at the highest levels of sports car racing both in the U.S. and internationally. Since joining Corvette Racing in 2011 as a factory driver, he’s achieved remarkable success. His career highlights include two victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2011, 2015), two IMSA GT Championships (2012, 2016), wins at the Sebring 12 Hours (2013, 2016), and a Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona victory (2016).

Prior to his long career with GM as a Factory Driver, Tommy was a BMW USA Factory Driver and drove for Rahal Letterman Racing. His experience at Le Mans spans 13 starts, beginning in 2006 with Multimatic Motorsports, and he has competed and won at iconic circuits across the globe.

Tommy’s passion for cars and racing began early, growing up immersed in the sport. His father, Tom Milner Sr., owned Prototype Technology Group (PTG), one of the most successful sports car racing teams in the U.S.

When he’s not on the track, Tommy enjoys life on his small farm in Northern Virginia, where he lives with his wife, Lauren, and their two kids.

THE starburst

The helmet has traditionally been the defining symbol of a driver's identity, but Tommy has enjoyed the process of re-imagining his. Over the years, he sketched countless helmet designs, each one reflecting a unique piece of their journey.

Early on, Tommy knew he wanted a logo that would unify all his helmet designs—something bold and personal that could also extend beyond racing and the helmet itself.

What began as a quick sketch and a scan into a computer evolved into the Starburst logo, which has become a staple on his helmets since the early days of their career.
